The Crawford Soil and Water Conservation District is sponsoring an educational pond clinic for anyone interested in building a pond, management of an existing pond, or has an interest in this topic.
The clinic will be held Thursday, June 12, 2014 at Ed and Dee Ann Speece’s pond, 1727 State Route 19, Bucyrus OH. The evening will begin at 5:30 P.M. with a light meal offered by Whetstone Go-Getters 4-H Club for any pre-registered participants. The informational portion of the evening will begin promptly at 6:00 P.M. with speakers Don Fishpaw, Crawford SWCD Technician and Eugene Braig, OSU Program Director Aquatic Ecosystems, presenting on topics of pond construction, pond management, and aquatic plants. There will be time for a question and answer session.
Please bring any aquatic plants you would like help identifying to the event as well as a lawn chair. This event is offered free of cost to any interested party.
