BUCYRUS – The Crawford Success Center, part of North Central State College, have Alums in our region, throughout Ohio, and all over the United States fighting Covid-19. They are nurses and respiratory therapists in the hospitals helping to treat Covid-19 patients, police officers and first responders, engineers designing and building ventilators, and other necessary equipment needed for healthcare, as well as social workers trying to help the jobless and the homeless get the resources they need.
In order to prepare the next generation of area employees, the Crawford Success Center invites you to support this vital mission through the Community Foundation for Crawford County’s GIVING2SDAYNOW. The online giving program will support our students impacted by COVID-19 and help support individuals in the community interested in gaining new skills. The college does have some funds available for students to attend classes with NCSC and the Crawford Success Center, including online courses.
The event will begin next Tuesday, May 5 at 8 a.m. and culminates at 8 p.m. on May 6. Chris Copper, Executive Director for the North Central State College (NCSC) Foundation, asks the community to join in and make a difference for others, during the event. Copper shared that “in support of the students who are preparing to serve our community as Practical Nurses (LPNs), in manufacturing programs, or and other vital services, please join us in making a gift. “The Crawford Success Center is proud of the quick response they and the community have had for COVID-19, with all students going to distance-learning classes, essentially overnight. The NCSC Foundation did provide loaner laptops to students that needed help. Supporting this event will ensure students have the tools they need to complete their coursework.
