BUCYRUS, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—As the new year approaches, the Crawford Success Center is opening its doors to residents looking to launch new careers in 2026. Center Manager Nate Harvey announced that registration remains open for the spring semester, with classes officially beginning the week of Jan. 12.

The center is highlighting several accelerated pathways to high-demand careers. The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) program offers a cycle starting in May, allowing students who take prerequisite classes in January to be working on a healthcare floor by next December. Additionally, a new 10-week phlebotomy certificate program is set to launch in February for adult learners, featuring clinical rotations at Avita Health System.

For those concerned about the cost of tuition, Harvey emphasized that affordability is a hallmark of the institution.

“Three out of four of our students graduate debt-free,” Harvey said. “In February, during North Central State Foundation Month, we typically award about a quarter of a million dollars in scholarships through a very simple application process.”

To assist with these applications, the center will host its second annual Financial Aid & Scholarship Night on Feb. 5. The “express workshop” will provide hands-on help with FAFSA filings and connect students with local community scholarship partners.

The center also continues to serve the local workforce through the Timken Manufacturing Lab, which recently saw nine individuals from local companies complete ACDC electrical training.

Community members can support local students at the 8th Annual “Scholarships for Success” auction and raffle on March 5. Last year, the event raised over $30,000, with 100% of proceeds staying in Crawford County.

The Crawford Success Center is located at 130 N. Walnut St. across from the courthouse. More information is available at ncstatecollege.edu.
