BUCYRUS, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—Crawford County Public Health has released its 2025 annual report, offering a detailed look at the county’s vital statistics, including 408 resident births and 599 deaths. Health Commissioner Kate Siefert noted that while heart disease and cancer remain the leading causes of mortality, the department is seeing success in community health through increased access to vaccinations and harm reduction tools. The report, which is available to the public online, also highlights a significant decrease in births to mothers under the age of 18, with only three recorded in the past year.
