The Crawford Park District and the Johnny Appleseed Chapter of the Archaeological Society will host a hunt for arrowheads and artifacts from prehistoric cultures on April 9. The arrowhead hunt begins with a meeting at 10 a.m. that morning and is open to the public.
The park district has received permission to search nearby farm fields prior to planting.
. Be the first human to touch an arrowhead since it was used thousands of years ago! Don’t miss this popular annual event. Bring the whole family, dress for the weather and don’t forget your boots if the ground is wet. Also, walking sticks and small digging tools can be helpful.
Lowe-Volk Park is located three miles north of US Route 30. For more information contact the Crawford Park District office at 419-683-9000.
