BUCYRUS, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—The Crawford Park District has announced a series of engaging events for the month of March, aimed at children and families in the community.

Little Explorers: Bugs On Thursday, March 6, at 5:30 p.m., the Little Explorers program will take place at Lowe-Volk Park, located at 2401 State Route 598. This interactive program is designed for children ages 0-5 years and focuses on stimulating the senses for infants while engaging fine motor skills for toddlers. This month’s theme is “Bugs,” offering a fun and educational exploration of the insect world.

Artifact Expo: On Saturday, March 8, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Lowe-Volk Park will host the Artifact Expo. This event is perfect for enthusiasts of prehistoric artifacts, featuring displays from local collectors. Most artifacts on display were found in the fields of Crawford County and surrounding areas. The event will also include raffle items, and all children will receive a piece of flint to take home.

Feeding Day: On Monday, March 10, at 5:30 p.m., join Naturalist Lisa at Lowe-Volk Park for Feeding Day. Participants will have the opportunity to help feed the animals residing in the Nature Center. The animals receive a variety of foods based on their species and size. Activities include preparing food for box turtles, feeding aquatic turtles, and even offering mice to the snakes.
