CRESTLINE, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—The Crawford Park District is celebrating Valentine’s Day with two unique events that highlight the romantic behaviors of local wildlife.

On Wednesday, February 12, at 6 p.m., nature enthusiasts are invited to Lowe-Volk Park, 2401 State Route 598, for an “Owl Prowl.” As Barred Owls begin their courtship for the upcoming mating season, participants will join Naturalist Donald for a nighttime hike through the woods to search for these incredible birds and listen for their calls. Flashlights are recommended for this event.

The second event, “Love Bugs,” will take place on Saturday, February 15, at 2 p.m., also at Lowe-Volk Park. Naturalist Donald will present fascinating and sometimes startling facts about the mating behaviors of insects and spiders. This program is designed for an adult audience and is not intended for young children.
