CRAWFORD COUNTY, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—The Crawford Park District is wrapping up the fall season and heading into winter with a series of educational and family-friendly programs at the Lowe-Volk Park Nature Center, located at 2401 State Route 598.
Night Sky Viewing The weekend begins with a free viewing of the night sky on Saturday, Nov. 29, at 6 p.m. The Crawford Park Astronomy Club invites the public to view fall targets such as Leo, Pegasus, and Andromeda. If the weather is unfavorable, the program will be held inside the Nature Center.

Holiday Story Programs Families can enjoy several holiday-themed events next week in partnership with the Bucyrus Public Library:
- Indoor Story Walk: A self-guided story walk featuring “A Letter to Santa” will be available inside the Nature Center from Monday, Dec. 1, through Friday, Dec. 5, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. A take-home craft will be provided upon completion.
- Winter Storytime: A special storytime with the Bucyrus Public Library will take place on Wednesday, Dec. 3, at 2 p.m. inside the cozy Nature Center, featuring books, songs and seasonal activities.

Homeschool Planetarium Homeschoolers ages 5 to 12 are invited to a Planetarium class on Thursday, Dec. 4, at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Dan from the Crawford Park Astronomy Club will lead the session, projecting planets, galaxies and constellations onto the dome.

Winter Tree Identification The series concludes with a Winter Tree ID Hike on Saturday, Dec. 6, at 2 p.m. Naturalist Donald will guide participants through Lowe-Volk Park to identify various tree species by their distinctive winter characteristics.
