BUCYRUS — The Crawford County Hazard Mitigation Plan is due for updating. It is necessary to update the plan every five years so that the county and participating communities remain eligible for pre-disaster and post-disaster mitigation grant programs.

We are currently in the process of identifying potential hazards and are in need of participation by residents in Crawford County.

A public Involvement meeting has been arranged for Tuesday, July 23 from 5:30-6:30 p.m. with public attendance very much needed for feedback.

At this meeting, each potential natural, geological and man-made hazard be reviewed to determine its potential threat to Crawford County. The public’s feedback is essential to provide input on any potential hazards and to rate the priority of the hazards that will be included h the next plan.

The event will be in the Lower Level Conference Room at the Crawford County Courthouse (112 E. Mansfield Street, Bucyrus, Ohio 44820).

Signed,

Kirk Williamson
Crawford County EMA Director
