Mount Vernon, Ohio – Donley Auto Group, located in Ashland, Galion, Mount Vernon and Shelby donated a 2-year lease of a 2017 Ford Escape to the United Way organizations of Ashland, Crawford, Knox and Richland Counties to help raise funds for their 2017 United Way campaigns. One lucky winner was chosen from the combined entries of these United Way communities to win the 2 year lease of this Escape.
This giveaway had participation from each county to select one semi-finalist to attend our Final Giveaway Event held in Mount Vernon on Valentine’s Day, February 14th. All persons who completed a pledge card and donate $10 or more from any of the respective counties were eligible to have their single entry included in this giveaway.
The finalists representing each county were randomly given a key on Valentine’s Day at our Final Giveaway Event. Only one key provided entry to the 2017 Ford Escape to determine the winner. The 2 year lease was given to Nancy Fauser, a lucky recipient who was selected originally from Crawford County!
“We’re so centralized in this area, with all of these counties butting up to each other that I thought it would be a good idea for them all to combine and create more of one voice within this whole area,” Scott Donley said. “I think this has helped get the word out, so that everybody sees in our communities that United Way is more of one entity as opposed to individual in each county.”
