CRAWFORD COUNTY, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW) — In a targeted operation on Oct. 29, the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant related to an investigation into the illegal possession of firearms and stolen property.

The operation led to the arrest of 54-year-old Lonny Lee Carroll, the primary target, at his residence.

During the search, officers recovered two firearms: an FMP9 9mm AR-style rifle and a Stevens Model 200 .22-250 rifle. Additionally, two stolen vehicles were found on the property — a 2014 Ford F-150, reported stolen out of Indiana, and a 2001 John Deere 4300 tractor, also reported stolen from the same state.

Carroll was taken into custody and transported to the Crawford County Justice Center, where he faces charges of possessing weapons under disability and receiving stolen property.

The case remains under review, and a report will be submitted to the Crawford County Prosecutor’s Office for potential additional charges.

Detectives with the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office continue to investigate and urge anyone with information to come forward. Sheriff Scott Kent, Lt. Moser, and Detective Winkelman emphasized the importance of community vigilance, encouraging citizens to report suspicious activity by contacting the Sheriff’s Office at 419-562-7906 or through the Sheriff’s Office app.
