UPDATE: The Crawford County Sheriff’s Office downgraded the county to a Level 1 Snow Emergency at 8:32 a.m. Rural roadways are hazardous with blowing and drifting snow. Roads are also icy. The Sheriff’s Office advises motorists to drive with extreme caution.
Overnight snow and winds have led to snow-covered slippery roads in Crawford County and the Sheriff’s Office declared a Level 1 Snow Emergency that went into effect at 3:45 this morning. By 5:05 a.m. it had been elevated to Level 2.
Roads are hazardous with several reports of vehicles off the road. There was a semi-truck rollover accident early this morning on eastbound U.S. 30 just west of Ohio 602.
More snow is expected this morning along with winds ranging from 20 to 30 miles per hour. Temperatures are only expected to reach a high of 11 today and the area is under a wind chill warning until Saturday.
Seneca and Morrow counties are under a Level 1 Snow Emergency and Huron County has declared a Level 2.
