BUCYRUS—Crawford County Now is investigating tips received about a high-speed pursuit last night that ended in a crash.
Crawford County Now reached out but could not make contact with Bucyrus Police Captain Tom Walker for information regarding the pursuit. Walker is on vacation until Wednesday.
Crawford County Now was able to verify with Bucyrus City Police that there was a pursuit, but no further details are available at this time.
Citizens remain concerned after a high-speed chase earlier this week ended in the death of a Bluffton Police Officer. The small department lost beloved officer Dominic Francis who was struck and subsequently killed by a vehicle fleeing police in a high-speed chase. The Bluffton Police Department had not lost an officer in the line of duty for more than 100 years. All three suspects are in custody and charged with crimes, including manslaughter.
