NEWS RELEASE:
Food Assistance benefits can be replaced up to a maximum of one month’s allotment, when food purchased with these benefits is destroyed as a result of an assistance group misfortune, such as a storm power outage of four hours or longer.
Recipients must request replacement within ten days of the storm.
Only food purchased with Food Assistance benefits can be replaced. Verification of the disaster or misfortune may be required.
Individuals who have experienced a loss due to the storm should call 419-562-0015, extension 412 with questions.
