BUCYRUS, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—The Crawford County Fair is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to fill the position of Fair Office Secretary for the 2025 season. This role offers both full-time and part-time opportunities, with the job starting on May 1 and running through July 22, 2025.
The Fair Office Secretary will work closely with the Fair Manager, Treasurer, Secretary, and Fair Board Members. Responsibilities include handling daily filing, managing contracts, using QuickBooks for financial tasks, and assisting with phone and email inquiries about the fair. The role also involves selling passes, handling money, writing receipts, and making daily deposits.
Applicants must have reliable transportation and submit a resume with two references by April 1, 2025. The position pays $13-$15 per hour, with a paid working lunch included.
The work schedule varies by month:
- May: 2-3 days a week from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and every other Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon.
- June: 5 days a week from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and every other Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon.
- July: 6 days a week from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and every Sunday until the fair from 9 a.m. to noon.
- Fair Week (July 13-19): 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., with hours on July 20 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Candidates should possess strong people skills, both in person and over the phone, and be proficient in common computer applications such as Word and Excel. Training will be provided for the Fair Entry System, and a monthly office checklist will guide daily tasks leading up to fair week.
