BUCYRUS, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—The Crawford County Agricultural Society is actively seeking a qualified and skilled electrician to ensure the smooth operation of the 2025 Crawford County Fair. The position requires availability starting two weeks before the fair, which runs from July 14-19, 2025.

The selected electrician will begin work on June 30, 2025, inspecting all lighting and electrical boxes across fairground buildings and making any necessary corrections or repairs.

Specific on-site availability is required during the following periods:

  • Friday, July 11, 2025: 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
  • Saturday, July 12, 2025: 12 p.m. – 8 p.m.
  • Sunday, July 13, 2025: 1 p.m. – 10 p.m.
  • Monday, July 14, 2025 – Friday, July 18, 2025: 7 a.m. – 8 p.m.
  • Saturday, July 19, 2025: 1 p.m. – 1 a.m.
  • Sunday, July 20, 2025: 7 a.m. – 12 p.m.

Duties for the position include, but are not limited to, hooking up campers, providing electrical hook-up and disconnection services for vendors, and offering general electrical services as needed throughout the fairgrounds during the fair dates. The electrician will also be expected to be on-call for unforeseen emergencies outside of the listed hours during the fair week, July 14-19, 2025.

Candidates must provide their own bucket truck and equipment necessary to perform required services. Applicants must also provide proof of electrician certifications and insurance when applying. All repair plans must be presented to the Crawford County Agricultural Society for approval. Repair materials will be provided by the electrician and billed to the Society.

The salary for the position is negotiable and includes a campsite, the use of a golf cart, and communication devices for the week of the fair.
