Sunday’s 4-H Style Revue was a colorful event at the Crawford County Fair. 4-H members brought a multitude of handmade costumes and outfits to the stage to show off their sewing skills.
Girls entered different categories, such as Active Sportwear, Fun With Clothes, and Looking Great For Less to introduce their own lines.
Fifteen-year-old, Abbie Brocwell, has been sewing for six years now. Her creation was in the Creative Costumes category and was said to be a perfect representation of a Cinderella dress, all stitched herself.
“My grandmother taught me to sew, but I’ve always done it because I love it, not because I have to,” said Brocwell.
The senior winner was Bella Walter, also in the Creative Costumes category, member of Dairy Maids and Gents 4-H Club. Walter’s outfit was appropriately named “Dairy Maids and Gents”.
The junior winner was Cassandra Kurek, of the Shopping Savvy category, with a line named “Home Liberty Royal Lions.”
Though there were only two winners, all the girls had smiles on their faces as they cheered on their 4-H friends.
