BUCYRUS, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—The 7th Annual Scholarships for Success event raised nearly $30,000 to support local students, organizers announced.
The event, held Thursday at the Crawford Success Center, featured live and silent auctions, with proceeds benefiting scholarships for students from Bucyrus, Buckeye Central, Crestline, Colonel Crawford, Galion, and Wynford high schools. The North Central State College Foundation awarded $500 scholarships to the recipients.

A highlight of the evening was the unveiling of the new Leadership Award wall and the presentation of the 2025 Leadership Award to Doug Weisenauer, former Crawford County Commissioner. Weisenauer was recognized for his dedication to the community and his role in establishing the Crawford Success Center in 2015.
A new partnership between North Central State College, the Crawford Success Center, Baker’s Pizza, and Old 30 BBQ was also announced. The collaboration will provide customized workforce training and associate degree scholarships, as well as college certificates, for employees of the businesses.

“We are proud to be able to continue this important tradition of supporting students from Crawford County,” said Nate Harvey, manager of the Crawford Success Center.
Attendees had the chance to connect with local leaders, bid on unique auction items, and celebrate the achievements of the community
