GALION, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—The Crawford County Sheriff’s Office concluded a narcotics investigation Thursday, seizing more than $100,000 worth of illegal drugs and a sophisticated indoor grow operation from a Galion home.
Deputies, assisted by the Crestline Police Department and Galion City Fire Department, executed a search warrant at approximately 9 a.m. on July 10 at 1112 Beck Rd. The search was the culmination of an illegal narcotics drug investigation by the Sheriff’s Office and the METRICH Enforcement Unit.
The target of the investigation was identified as Jon Michael Schreck, 46, of Tiro.

According to a press release from the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office, authorities seized an estimated 70 pounds of suspected marijuana. They also found and seized various prescription pills, including Alprazolam, Amphetamine-Dextroamphetamine, Acetaminophen-Hydrocodone, and Clonazepam. The street value of the seized drugs is estimated to be in excess of $100,000.
In addition to the narcotics, officers seized a complex indoor grow system consisting of grow lamps, power inverters, an irrigation system, chemicals, and other items associated with illegal indoor grows.

The case remains under investigation by Sheriff’s Office detectives. Criminal charges are pending against Schreck, and reports will be forwarded to the Crawford County Prosecutor’s Office for consideration of charges.
