BUCYRUS, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—The Crawford County Auditor’s Office has opened the 2026 Dog License Registration Program, reminding all dog and kennel owners that they are required by Ohio law to purchase a license by Feb. 2, 2026.
County Auditor Robyn Sheets announced the registration fees and deadlines today.
“Anyone who owns a dog or maintains a kennel is required to purchase a license by Feb. 2, 2026,” Sheets said.
The Board of County Commissioners has set the 2026 license fees as follows:
- One-year license: $18.00
- Three-year license: $54.00
- Permanent license: $180.00
To make renewal convenient, the Auditor’s Office is mailing registration forms to owners of record, and those with an email address on file will receive their form electronically.
Where to Purchase
Dog owners can purchase a single one-year license through one of four methods:
- Mail: Return the registration form with payment via U.S. Mail.
- In-person: Visit the County Auditor’s Office, 112 E. Mansfield Street, Suite 105, between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
- Online: Visit doglicenses.us/oh/crawford (convenience fees apply for credit card payments).
- Satellite Offices: Licenses are available from Dec. 1, 2025, to Feb. 2, 2026, at designated satellite agencies, which charge a $0.75 administrative fee per registration:
- Crawford County Humane Society (licenses sold all year)
- Horizon Animal Hospital in Galion
- Crestline Advocate
- New Washington Herald
Three-year and permanent licenses can be purchased via U.S. Mail, in-person at the Auditor’s Office, or online. Kennel licenses are only available for sale at the Auditor’s Office.
