BUCYRUS, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—The Crawford County Board of Elections has ruled on a residency complaint filed by Bucyrus City Council President Kurt Fankhauser against Bucyrus Law Director Brandon Gobrecht.
A hearing on the matter was held at the Board of Elections offices on June 16th. The hearing lasted more than two hours.
After reviewing testimony and applicable law, the Board determined that Gobrecht has not abandoned his residence on East Southern Avenue in Bucyrus.
The Board found compelling evidence that Gobrecht is temporarily residing at a location on State Route 4 in Bucyrus due to ongoing remodeling work. They affirmed Gobrecht’s intention to return to his East Southern Avenue home once the work is completed.
