According to the Society for Human Resource Management, one of the major causes of employee turnover is interaction with the direct supervisor. As one local business put it, “We take the ‘super’ worker and make them the ‘supervisor’ whether they really have the supervisory skills or not.”
The majority of job creation comes from existing businesses and their employees.
