WYANDOT COUNTY—The Wyandot County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal crash that claimed the life of a Nevada man on Tuesday morning.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, deputies were called to the scene of the crash at 8:30 a.m. by a passerby who spotted an overturned vehicle in a field off of County Highway 39, west of Township Highway 10.

The 1996 Geo Tracker was driven by Nicholas Arthur Frombaugh, 33, Nevada, who was pronounced dead at the scene by acting coroner Michael O’Reily. He was taken to the Bringman and Clark Funeral Home by Sycamore EMS.

According to the press release by Wyandot County Sheriff Todd Frey, it appears that Frombaugh was traveling eastbound on County Highway 39 when he lost control of the vehicle and it traveled off the left side of the roadway into a bean field, overturned, then came to rest on its top.

It was determined that Frombaugh was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash. Sycamore Fire and EMS, Jaws and Danner’s Towing assisted the Sheriff’s Office at the scene.
