BUCYRUS—Following less than two hours of deliberation, a jury has found Dakota Craft guilty on multiple charges that could result in a prison sentence of over 20 years. Craft, a 28-year-old resident of Galion, has been convicted of felonious assault, improperly discharging a firearm, intimidation of an attorney, victim, or witness, having weapons under disability, and tampering with evidence.

Crawford County Common Pleas Court Judge Sean Leuthold has scheduled Craft’s sentencing for the near future. Due to the mandatory sentencing requirements, Leuthold did not order a pre-sentence investigation. He instructed both the prosecution and defense to prepare sentencing briefs for his review.

Crawford County Now will continue to provide coverage of this case until the sentencing takes place.
