BUCYRUS, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—Get ready for some great country music in downtown Bucyrus! Bratwurst Festival Inc. announced Monday that country music icon Tracy Byrd will headline the entertainment on Friday night at the 2025 Bratwurst Festival.

Byrd, who has sold over 6 million albums and boasts three #1 singles, is known for hits such as “Watermelon Crawl,” “The Keeper of the Stars,” and “I’m From the Country.” His career, which began in the early 1990s, has garnered him six Gold albums and a Double Platinum certification, cultivating a strong national fanbase.

The “Watermelon Crawl” singer will take the stage after a performance by Ohio native Toby May, promising a night of energetic country music under the festival lights.

This year, the Main Stage will be situated within the Bratwurst Festival Beer Garden. The area will feature clearly marked sections, including a 21+ area for alcohol service and a family-friendly section open to all ages. Festival organizers are encouraging attendees to arrive early to enjoy a bratwurst and secure a spot before the music starts.

“Having someone of Tracy Byrd’s caliber join us for Friday night is a big deal,” said Doug Foght, Festival Director. “His music brings people together and adds another level of excitement to an already packed weekend. We can’t wait to see the streets filled and the crowd singing along.”

The concert is free to the public and is scheduled for Friday, August 15, 2025, on the Main Stage in the Beer Garden. The performance is part of the three-day Bratwurst Festival, which features live music, parades, contests, vendors, and, of course, plenty of bratwurst.

Bratwurst Festival Inc. expressed its gratitude to its sponsors, particularly title sponsor Ohio Mutual Insurance Group, for their support in making the entertainment possible.
