BUCYRUS ― Bucyrus City Council met in a special session Tuesday evening to consider three pieces of legislation regarding upcoming paving projects with the Ohio Department of Transportation.

Council approved the paving of Ohio 4, north of the U.S. 30 bypass near the Ohio 19 split to the west. The city’s share for this portion of the project is $6,250.

A resolution for paving from Plymouth Street to the U.S. 30 bypass also was approved. The city’s portion of this part of the project will be around $206,000.

A third resolution was passed by council for the paving of Marion Road from South Sandusky Avenue to the city’s south corporation line, with the city being responsible for $212,668 of the project cost.

All three pieces of legislation needed to be passed by Feb. 1 to meet project deadlines, which was the reason for the special council meeting.

The next regularly scheduled council meeting is Tuesday, Feb. 5 at 7 p.m. at Bucyrus City Hall.
