NEW WASHINGTON — New Washington Village Council recognized the New Washington Volunteer Fire Department during council’s regular meeting Monday evening.
Council recognized the department for continuous contributions to the community and presented them with a certificate of appreciation.
Council continued the discussion on the renaming of an alley in the village, but they must have a public hearing before that can be approved. Information on the meeting will be announced by the council soon.
The NWVFD’s annual pancake breakfast will be Sunday, Oct. 7 from 7:30-11:30 a.m. at the New Washington American Legion.
The NWVFD also will be having a raffle for fire safety.
The Buckeye Central homecoming parade will be Friday, Sept. 28 at 5:30 p.m. with lineup at 5 p.m.
Council’s next meeting will be Sept. 24 at 4:30 p.m.
