GALION — Terry Gribble of the Galion YMCA spoke to Galion City Council on summer recreational activities and their starting dates.
Gribble told council the splash park will open the Saturday before Memorial Day and will be open for the summer.
The Heise Park pool will open June 1 and will remain open until Aug. 17, when students will begin returning to school.
The hours for both the splash park and city pool will be from 1-7 p.m.
Council’s next meeting is March 26 at 7 p.m.
