CRAWFORD COUNTY, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—Residents near the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office firearms range have been advised to expect the sounds of controlled explosions on Friday, Oct. 17, as multiple law enforcement agencies conduct a live training exercise.
The training will involve the Crawford County Special Response Team, the Ashland County Bomb Squad, and the FBI’s Cleveland Office, according to an advisory from the Sheriff’s Office.
The exercise, which will take place at the firearms range in the southeast portion of Liberty Township, is scheduled to include the use of controlled explosives between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.
The notification was issued for community awareness purposes only, as the training is a standard, live-action exercise for the agencies involved. The Sheriff’s Office did not specify the nature of the training scenario.
