A section of State Route 598 remains closed as Ohio Department of Transportation crews work on a bridge deck overlay. The section of road south of the Wheeling & Lake Erie railroad tracks in Plymouth Township will expected to reopen on July 5, 2013. The detour route for northbound motorists is SR 598 to State Route 98, northeast on SR 98 to State Route 61, south on SR 61 to SR 598, and reverse for southbound motorists.

A number of other roads have been reduced to one lane of traffic for construction projects. State Route 96, between SR 98 and State Route 602, is down to one lane as part of a chip seal maintenance project. The work is expected to be complete by July 2013. Construction is ongoing on SR 602 between State Route 19 and Guiss Road for a another chip seal maintenance project. That work is expected to be complete by July 2013. The one lane of traffic for both construction projects will be maintained with flaggers at all times.

Stetzer Road is reduced to one lane of two-way traffic at its bridge over US Route 30 for bridge deck repairs. Beechgrove Road, near Stetzer, is closed to thru traffic as part of this work. Traffic will be maintained with a temporary traffic signal. The work is expected to  be complete in late June 2013.
