St. Rt. 598, just north of State Route 96 in Vernon Township, will close Monday, July 14 for a bridge replacement.
The detour route for northbound motorists is SR 598 to SR 96, east on SR 96 to State Route 39, west on SR 39 to SR 598, and reverse for southbound motorists.
The road is expected to reopen in mid-October 2014.
SR 61/SR 309 (Portland Way South) from Harding Way to Grove Avenue in the City of Galion remains closed for southbound traffic as part of the rehabilitation and widening project. Northbound traffic is reduced to a one-way street.
Traffic use Harding Way, State Route 18 and State Route 288 as alternate routes.
The project is expected to be complete in November 2014.
