BUCYRUS — Hazardous road conditions played a role in a vehicle crash Friday morning.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol responded to a single-vehicle crash on Ohio 4 north of Bucyrus just before 7 a.m.

According to OSHP Trooper Mark McLaughlin, a Norwalk man was traveling southbound on Ohio 4 when he attempted to pass a semi-truck and lost control of his vehicle on wet pavement, spinning into a field and coming to a stop facing north. McLaughlin said the driver will be cited for failure to control.
