BUCYRUS, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—Unger Park Post Acute is strengthening its ties with the Crawford County community through a robust schedule of spring events designed for local seniors and their families.
Following the success of its recent community dance, the facility is transitioning into a busy March and April. On March 17, Unger Park will host a St. Patrick’s Day community drive-thru dinner featuring traditional Irish cuisine. This will be followed on March 25 by a “Medicaid 101” seminar led by Attorney Tawny Iyer. The educational session aims to address common fears regarding long-term care and asset preservation.
The spring calendar continues on April 16 with a special Pastor’s Appreciation Brunch, followed by another community dinner on April 21.
Looking ahead to May 6, the facility will partner with the Area Agency on Aging for a “Car Fit” event. This unique program allows drivers to remain in their vehicles while experts adjust seats and mirrors to ensure the car is ergonomically optimized for the driver’s safety and comfort.
“It’s amazing how you have all of these events and you actually gain friends from the community,” said Katie of Unger Park Post Acute. “They gain trust in us, and we gain a wonderful connection with them.”
