BUCYRUS, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—The North Central State College (NC State) Crawford Success Center is hosting a fall open house and emphasizing its expanded role in workforce development for the region.

Nate Harvey, manager of the Crawford Success Center, said the open house on Thursday, Oct. 30, is a resource for all ages, offering assistance with financial aid, program exploration, and career assessments.

Corey Monica, the new Director of Workforce Development, highlighted the center’s focus on connecting local employers with in-demand skills through customized training in areas like leadership, Excel, automation, and practical nursing. Monica noted that many technical trainings, including a popular LPN program, are eligible for up to $2,000 in reimbursement per employee through the Ohio TechCred program, making it a cost-effective way for companies to invest in staff.

NC State is actively developing new programs, including a planned artificial intelligence training for 2026. Interested individuals and businesses can visit ncstatecollege.edu for more information or contact the center directly at 419-755-9041.
