MARION, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—Marion Technical College (MTC) announced it has broken its enrollment record for the fall semester, reaching nearly 3,700 students across its general population, prison education, and College Credit Plus programs. The college is currently enrolling for the spring term, which begins Jan. 7, with a second eight-week session starting March 16.
MTC also launched a new two-year Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education. The announcements coincided with the celebration of President Dr. Ryan McCall’s 10-year anniversary, a period that saw a 45% increase in enrollment, a 600% increase in grants, and a 132% growth in foundation scholarship dollars.
The college is urging students to apply for classes and available scholarships through the Marion Community Foundation (due February 10) and MTC’s own funds (opening February 1). MTC’s Connection Center continues to support students with non-academic needs, having recently distributed 98 Thanksgiving feast boxes.
