BUCYRUS, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—Nate Harvey, manager of the Crawford Success Center, part of North Central State College, joined Randy on Community Spotlight to discuss upcoming events and initiatives. Harvey highlighted several open houses scheduled for this spring: March 18 at the Bucyrus campus, March 27 at the Mansfield campus, and April 3 at the Shelby Kehoe Center. These events offer prospective students and parents a chance to tour the facilities and meet with staff.

Harvey also shared the success of a recent financial aid night, which saw nearly 40 attendees, and emphasized the importance of community partnerships in supporting students. Additionally, he announced a leadership and supervision training boot camp for employers and individuals looking to enhance their skills, set for later this spring.

The Crawford Success Center continues to expand its programs, including a daytime Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) program starting in August. Harvey noted the high demand for nursing professionals and the strong job placement rates for graduates.

In collaboration with local businesses like Baker’s Pizza and Old 30 BBQ, the center is addressing workforce needs through customized training and educational opportunities. The annual Scholarships for Success benefit, aimed at raising funds for Crawford County students, is set for March 6, with a goal of surpassing last year’s $28,000 raised.
