BUCYRUS, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—The Crawford Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) has unveiled its 2026 spring and summer programming, featuring the return of popular annual sales and new locations for community service projects.
The district’s annual tree sale is currently wrapping up, with pickup scheduled for Thursday, Apr. 23, and Friday, Apr. 24. Officials noted that several species are already sold out and encouraged residents to call the office for the most current selection.
This year’s fish sale features a new vendor from Kalida, Ohio. For the first time, fish will be pre-packaged for customers, eliminating the need for residents to bring their own buckets of water for transport.
On Saturday, May 9, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., the district will host its annual community cleanup. Volunteers can participate at three locations: Harmon Park in Bucyrus, High Sea Park in Galion, and the city park in New Washington. Registration is open for families, 4-H groups, and students seeking community service hours.
Additional summer events include:
- Pond Clinic: June 11 from 5:15 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Carlisle Pond on Stetzer Road.
- Conservation Camp: June 23 at Camp Michael.
- Farmer for a Day: July 8 at Acres of Adventure in Sycamore.
