BUCYRUS, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—The Bucyrus Kiwanis Club is set to host its annual dueling pianos event and a meat and freezer raffle, with proceeds benefiting the local community, according to Kate Volk, Bucyrus Kiwanis President.

The dueling pianos event, dubbed “Piano Fiasco,” will be held Friday, March 14, at the Crawford County Fairgrounds. Doors open at 5 p.m., with the pianos starting at 6 p.m. Tickets are $50 and include a meal catered by Center Street Meat Co. Tickets can be purchased at bucyruskiwanis.org or by contacting Volk.

Volk said a “special guest” will be attending the event but declined to reveal their identity. Attendees are encouraged to wear green in celebration of St. Patrick’s Day.

“They really keep the spirit alive,” Volk said of the dueling pianists. “It’s hard to stump them.”

The Kiwanis Club is also holding a meat and freezer raffle, with a grand prize of a whole hog and freezer. Second prize is $500 cash. Tickets are $5 each, or five for $20. The drawing will be held March 17, St. Patrick’s Day.

Raffle tickets are available at bucyruskiwanis.org or by contacting Volk.

Volk also mentioned that the Kiwanis Club is replacing a feature at the Bucyrus Splash Park, which the club supports.

Information on the events can be found on the Bucyrus Kiwanis Facebook page and at bucyruskiwanis.org.
