BUCYRUS, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—The Bucyrus Kiwanis Club is gearing up for its 67th annual Chicken BBQ, a summer tradition in Crawford County. Kate Volk from the Bucyrus Kiwanis joined “Community Spotlight” host Randy Bigley to share details about the popular event.

This year’s Chicken BBQ will be held on Wednesday, June 18, from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Crawford County Fairgrounds. For the price of a ticket, attendees will receive a half chicken, baked potato, applesauce, and a Little Debbie. The event is drive-thru only, making it easy for everyone to enjoy a delicious meal.

Presale tickets are available for $14, and tickets at the gate will be $15. Tickets can be purchased from Kiwanis members, by messaging the Bucyrus Kiwanis on Facebook, or by stopping by the Bucyrus Area Chamber of Commerce to see Secretary Becky Lutz.

Volk noted that this year’s BBQ is dedicated to Dane Kennedy, with the event falling on his birthday.

Proceeds from the Chicken BBQ will go back into the community, with a specific focus this year on the Bucyrus Kiwanis Splash Pad.
