BUCYRUS, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—The Community Foundation for Crawford County will launch its sixth annual #CrawfordForGood online fundraising event from 8 a.m. Tuesday, July 22, through 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 23, to help local nonprofits raise operational and other funds.

The Foundation will provide a free online fundraising platform for participating nonprofits. An $8,000 matching pool, funded by the Foundation’s Board of Trustees and Park National Bank, will be distributed on a pro-rated basis to organizations based on donations received online during the event. The Foundation is encouraging additional companies and individuals to contribute to this matching pool to further incentivize fundraising.

Crawford County nonprofit organizations interested in participating must register by Friday, July 18, at the Foundation’s website, www.cfcrawford.org.

“This is the sixth year the Foundation has facilitated a fundraiser on behalf of the nonprofits in Crawford County who register to participate with us,” said Lisa Workman, the Foundation’s President. “The Foundation will not be keeping any of the money raised – it is all going back out directly into the hands of the nonprofits that raise it. We hope that our local agencies take advantage of this opportunity, and that donors remember the critical role nonprofits play in our society and choose to generously support them!”

The Foundation will again utilize the NetworkForGood platform. Individuals can create personal fundraising pages to advocate for and raise money on behalf of participating organizations. These pages can be set up in less than five minutes and easily shared via social media, email, or text during the event.

The platform for creating individual fundraising pages will be accessible starting July 14 at cfcrawford.networkforgood.com. Only online donations made during the specified event times will be eligible for the pro-rated matching funds.
