Mark it on the calendars: the next Community Care March is scheduled for Nov. 1 in New Washington.
Hosted every year in a different town or village in Crawford County, the 4th annual Community Care March will start at 9 a.m. at the American Legion Hall, 211 N. Kibler St., and will end at Buckeye Central Schools.
The march, which in put on by Together We Hurt Together We Heal, will feature Cheri Walter, CEO of the Ohio Association of County Behavior Health Authorities, and Adolescents from Crawford Prevention Program. Information will also be available for addicts and their families.
T-shirts and other prizes will also be handed out during the event.
The first Community Care March kicked off with a march down North Sandusky Ave. in Bucyrus to the county courthouse in 2011. That was followed up by marches in Galion and Crestline in the subsequent years.
