The Colonel Crawford High School Chapter of the National Honor Society will be inducting 15 new members during a candlelight service on November 15th at 7:30pm in The Margaret Linn Hoyles Center for the Performing Arts. Alumnus and former NHS member Anne Cole will be the keynote speaker for the evening.

To be eligible for membership consideration, students must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.5. Additionally, candidates must meet high standards of service, leadership, and character. Students are reviewed by a faculty council consisting of five members of the faculty appointed by the principal.

This year’s inductees will join current members Brad Bauer, Kaitlyn Bilsing, Alexus Burkhart, Grant Carman, Megan Daubenspeck, Alexandria Ferguson, Emily Hadsell, Alex Hershey, Malachi Israel, Emily Kemper, Samantha Mutchler, Anna Reffey, Madison Sharp, Nicholas Studer, and Kirsten Vehrs.

“We are very proud of our NHS students.” Principal Jake Bruner said. “These students have excelled both in and out of the classroom. Being inducted to the National Honor Society is one of the highest honors bestowed upon a high school student.”

NHS is the nation’s oldest and best-known student recognition program and was founded in 1921 by the National Association of Secondary School Principals.
