NORTH ROBINSON, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—On Monday evening, the Colonel Crawford Board of Education held its monthly meeting for April.
Several eighth-grade students presented projects they created in Mrs. Stickney’s science class. Stickney challenged students to make projects related to the state standard—how the surface of the earth changes. The project allowed students to be creative, with some creating booklets, posters, PowerPoint presentations, comic strips, small-scale models, etc.
The board accepted the resignation of Jim Klenk, who served as the special education director, for retirement. That position will be posted in the upcoming days.
The floors on the district’s exhibition gym will be poured around the week of May 6, so as long as the project stays on track.
The board accepted the donation of the youth baseball program’s concession stand from the Grove family, valued at six thousand four hundred and ninety-six dollars.
“I think we have to give a great, big thank you to the Grove family. What a fantastic job they have done–they have turned things around back there in a big way. I can remember, not too many years ago when the leaves were grown up in the fence so high you couldn’t see anything. It was terrible. Now, we’ve got a classy facility back there thanks to the Grove family,” board president Norm Huber said.
The next board meeting is May 20 at 7 p.m.
