NORTH ROBINSON—At Colonel Crawford’s Board of Education’s November meeting, the resolution for substitute teacher requirements was approved.
To be eligible to sub at Colonel Crawford, one must have their associate degree or have two of their four years for their bachelor’s degree completed. Other requirements for being a sub include filling out paperwork with Mid Ohio Educational Service Center or North Central Ohio Educational Service Center, obtaining a substitute license with the Ohio Department of Education (a college transcript must be submitted), and you must pass an FBI/BCI background check.
Treasurer Vickey Stump presented the five-year forecast to the board. The district is expected to end the fiscal year on June 30 with a seven and a half million dollar cash balance and a surplus of one hundred and ninety-nine thousand, seven hundred and nine dollar surplus.
The resignation of longtime employees Kenny Young (head bus mechanic) and Valerie Schaffner (physical education teacher) were accepted. Dusty McAdow has been hired to fill Mr. Young’s position.
The district is starting the process of replacing the boilers in the north building. MG Energy drew up the plans for the replacements, and the district will be advertising to accept bids for the project.
The next board meeting is December 20 at 7 p.m.
