NORTH ROBINSON—The Colonel Crawford Board of Education held their monthly meeting on Monday evening.

The board approved for the school’s second graders to attend the LifeWise program.

LifeWise academy is a Released Time Religious Instruction program that legally allows children to be released during the school day to attend religious classes as long as they are not on school property, privately funded, and parent permitted.

This fall, second graders will be released at 2:30 and accompanied by someone over to St. Paul’s Lutheran church that sits in front of the old high school. Then, at 3:25, the children will be escorted back to the school in time to ride their normal bus home.

For any parent looking to permit their child to be a part of the program, more information can be found on the LifeWise website.

This program has been approved by Bucyrus and Wynford, also.

The board accepted a donation of one thousand dollars from Beverly Althouse for the Marion Althouse Scholarship.

The eighth grade trip to Washington D.C. was approved for May 4 through May 6 of 2022.

The next board meeting is July 26 at 7 p.m.
