On Sept. 10, members of the Colonel Crawford FFA chapter went to Camp Michael for the annual Forestry Contest.
The 22 members that attended were: Alex Brause, Adam Widman, Zach Lyons, Matt Sutter, Dylan Scott, Harley Shaum, Madison Rinehart, Ethan Strouse, Kaleb Haynes, Tyson Russell, Andrew Brause, Chris Poland, Andy Sulser, Dylan David, Antonio Wegener, Andrew Daubenspeck, Reegan Leonhardt, Logan Rinehart, Alex Lawson, Abbie Brocwell, Martin Caldwell, and Rachael Forsythe.
Members had to identify trees, go timber cruising (measure trees to find how many board feet that the tree can produce), and identify chain saw parts. Alex Brause placed second overall, helping to send our team to the state contest at a later date.
