The Central Joint Ambulance District is without a vice president for the time being as there were no takers and no nominations for the post Wednesday night.

The position was formerly held by Steve Aiccholz who stepped down as New Washington representative and vice president of the ambulance district due to employment commitments.

The CJAD Oversight Committee will be meeting with Sheriff Scott Kent, LifeSupport COO Jesse Sipes, and Crawford County EMA Director Tim Flock to set new run times to reflect how long a run time should take at a safe speed.

In Sipes’ report to the CJAD he noted that there were 200 9-1-1 calls for the month of August. Sipes also reported that there are five full ALS units available with four staffed during the day and three staffed during the overnight hours.

The CJAD will vote on runtime variances at the October meeting.

In Treasurer Milton Underwood’s report to the CJAD, Underwood stated that there was currently a balance of $4,951.87 which included approved expenditures for $298.90 for advertising for the bid packets prior to last month’s bid packet opening, as well as $19.97 for printer ink.
