BUCYRUS, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—Bids will be received by the Service-Safety Director, 500 South Sandusky Avenue, Bucyrus, Ohio 44820 until 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, and at said time publicly opened and read aloud in Council Chambers of City Hall, Second Floor for the sale of real property, to wit:

Property, located at 606 North Sandusky Avenue, Bucyrus, Ohio 44820 with parcel numbers recorded as 08-0050047.000 and 08-050048.000, minimum acceptable bid of $225,000

The parcels will be sold to the highest and best bidder provided the above minimum acceptable bid has been met. Bidders may submit bids to purchase any or all of the above and shall submit an individual check for each parcel to bid. All bidders will have the right to raise their bids at the time of the bid opening. The Service Safety Director, on behalf of the City of Bucyrus will accept bid raises from any party or their representative that had previously submitted qualified written bid and check per parcel. The Service Safety Director, on behalf of the City of Bucyrus shall select the winning bidder or reject all bids if the minimum bid amount is not reached. Subject sales will be as-is, where-is for each property.

Each qualifying bid must contain the full name of every person or company interested in the same and set forth the amount of each bid and the property for which the bid amount is made. Each bid must be accompanied by a cashier check or other certified funds for a minimum deposit of $10,000.00 for the property #1.  The funds will be returned to all losing bidders upon final award of the bid. The tendered funds of the winning bidder will be deposited with the City of Bucyrus at the close of auction and applied as credit toward the winning bid amount. The remaining balance of each winning bid to be paid to the City of Bucyrus by certified funds or bank draft within 30 days of the close of the auction. Buyer to be responsible for all taxes, costs of transfer or recording or any other fees necessary for the sale of the land.

Failure to close or complete purchase within the allotted 30 days will result in the forfeiture of the bid deposit of the winning bidder and the City reserves the right to list the property at a second auction.

The right is reserved to reject any and all bids.
