Updated June 19, 2017: Due to the possibility of rain, the city of Galion has delayed Monday’s spraying until Tuesday evening.
Weather permitting, the City of Galion will conduct mosquito spraying on Friday, June 16. The northern half of the city will be sprayed (everything north of Harding Way).
On Monday, June 19, the City will spray the southern half of the city (everything south of Harding Way).
Spraying begins at dusk each night. Residents should close their windows and keep children and pets indoors during spraying.
Help eliminate mosquitoes in your yard by:
• Empty, remove, cover, or turn over receptacles with the potential to hold water.
• Clean bird baths twice weekly.
• Discard old tires or store them indoors.
• Repair leaky plumbing and outside faucets.
• Make sure gutters and downspouts are free of blockage and are properly draining.
• Empty your pets’ water dishes daily.
