City of Galion Safety-Service Director John Swain announced that the City of Galion is in the process of updating telephone and e-mail service. The goal of this new system is to better handle calls coming into the city offices and improve e-mail service.
The city will use a new email addresses for all employees. The new address will include the employee name, and the suffix galion.city. For example, firstnamelastname@galion.city. This new e-mail system went into effect on Wednesday, August 26.
The telephone system is being updated to provide more direct lines and to improve the telephone answering system. No department numbers are being changed; however, a new line for the Law Director was added. This new Law Director number is 419-777-7176.
There may be some temporary bugs with this new system. Please let us know if you experience any problems. It is expected that the new system will be fully operational by next week.
